February
28, 2007 - I'll be leaving soon to enjoy the
hospitality of San Francisco for a week. I'm going to
be attending the Game

a talk
on the Alcoa SafeDock project at the Serious Games
Summit portion of the conference.
February
13, 2007 - My blog, Clubberjack's Unfocused
Ramblings, has moved off of Blogspot to take up residence
on its own domain, www.clubberjack.net.
I've been posting sporadically since September 2004,
but I hope to make a more regular habit of it from now
on.

Edutainment where I will be leading the production
team in designing and producing training games and simulations.
February
28, 2005 - I just returned from Chicago, where
I was evaluating an EventScope
exhibit at the Adler
Planetarium. If you're in town, stop by and check
it out.
February
4, 2005 - A demo/poster that I submitted to
the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference was accepted!
The abstract
is available [PDF] on the LPSC website.
January
15, 2005 - I'm happy to announce that I'll
be continuing to work with the ETC on applying improv
techniques to videogame design. The work started with
the ETCART and continued in Summersend
is now being reincarnated as Project Improv. I'm just
consulting. Look for great things from this crew.
January
6-7, 2005 - I just got back from a few days
at NASA's
Ames Research Center, where I participated in a
workshop for the Life
in the Atacama mission. We debriefed from the Fall's
field experiments and prepared for the next round.
November
26, 2004 - It's finally official! A presentation
on Summersend has been accepted
to GDC 2005. The session is listed under Brenda
Harger's name, but I will be helping out along with
other members of the team.
October
12, 2004 - The fun never stops! I just returned
to Pittsburgh from Austin, TX, where I presented a
poster on EventScope at the InfoVis Symposium. It
was a whirlwind trip, but well worth it.
October
10, 2004 - Just finished the second week of
remote science operations for the Life in the Atacama
2004 mission. Check out the website
to see pictures and download mission data.
September
17, 2004 - Tomorrow (September 18th), I give
a talk at the Carnegie
Museum of Natural History Earth Theater covering
the remote science ops of the Life

Chicago, you can catch my talk at the Adler
Planetarium, which will be connecting via videoconference.
September
13, 2004 - The Sims 2 is out tomorrow, and
an
article in the Mercury News (free reg. req.) even
mentions the involvement of my research
team. "Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of
the game, consulted researcher Brenda Harger and her
artificial intelligence students at Carnegie-Mellon
University to find out how people really behave."
Yup. That's me.
September
11, 2004 - The first week of remote science

August
11, 2004 - I've been hard at work at Platform
Digital, spearheading the public outreach component
of the Life
in the Atacama 2004 mission. The mission officially
starts in mid-September, but there's a lot of ramp up.
The EventScope
website for the Atacama is live now. I've been in
talks with the Adler
Planetarium in Chicago, and they are going to have
some Atacama content which will start to show up in
September.
July
31, 2004 - A poster that I wrote on EventScope
and visualization has been accepted to InfoVis
2004. Unfortunately, the symposium dates and the
Life in the Atacama mission dates conflict a bit, so
I'm unsure as to whether I'll be able to go. If I don't
go, the poster won't be published, so that's a bit up
in the air.
June
17, 2004 - I've been published again! The ETCART's
paper has been accepted to ICEC
2004 in the form of a
poster [pdf]. We decided to forego publishing in
the ACE conference in favor of ICEC, and that decision
seems to have paid off. Brenda and Shanna will most
likely be presenting at the conference in the fall.
