The
Kodak Memory Studio
Title: Project
Manager
Client: Kodak Systems Concept Center
Employer: Entertainment
Technology Center
Date: Summer 2003

For this
paid internship, I directed a team of six artists and
one human-computer interaction specialist in the design
and prototyping of an interface and virtual assistant
character for digital photo album creation. Called the
Kodak Memory Studio, our prototype used concepts from
entertainment to create a fun and engaging customer
experience. Our client, the Kodak Systems Concept Center,
a research and development section of the Eastman Kodak
Company, came to us looking for a new and different
approach to digital album creation, and they were extremely
pleased with our work, asking us to demo our prototype
to many internal groups at Kodak R&D.
As
the Project Manager for this team, I...
- ...communicated
with the client through conference calls, email, and
formal presentations.
- ...directed
art development.
- ...designed
interactions.
- ...designed
a character with personality.
- ...documented
our design.
- ...drew
storyboards.
- ...wrote
dialogue.
- ...directed
voice recording sessions.
- ...organized
focus group research on our prototype.
- ...scheduled
and led team meetings.
