Building Virtual Worlds

Building Virtual Worlds (BVW) is a project-based course in which students work in small teams to build interactive virtual reality experiences. Over the course of the semester, I worked with five different teams to rapidly develop these interactive worlds, each over the course of about two weeks.

On my BVW teams, I...

  • ...brainstormed and developed interaction concepts.
  • ...drew storyboards.
  • ...modelled characters, objects, and environments in 3D.
  • ...designed, created and edited sounds.
  • ...developed scripts.
  • ...designed characters.
  • ...designed logos and documentation websites.
  • ...scripted and animated organic characters.
  • ...coordinated and participated in a session of motion capture which aided the animation of human characters for a virtual snow ball fight.
